Serving food properly on Heat Retentive Plates

Serving food properly is serving it on a plate that keeps food warm
For the first time in centuries this is possible on a...

Serving food properly is serving it on plates that keep food warm
I am thinking how to convey this information; I'll try a very simple approach: Serving food on normal ceramic plates is not serving food properly (Although it has been the only way available for centuries); ordinary plates steal the heat from food by conduction since food is hot and the plates are fresh. Nobody needs a thermodynamics lesson to understand this; also the food radiates heat and the moisture in the food suffers a change of phase from water to steam losing heat in the process; in sum there are heat losses by:
  1. Conduction
  2. Radiation
  3. Change of phase
In conclusion: If you want to enjoy hot food you need a means to keep adding heat to the food slowly to compensate for all the heat losses.  See the temperature chart below; a HotSmart Plate reaches maximum temperature several minutes after being taken out of the microwave oven (Delayed action to avoid overcooking or overheating the food), then releases heat slowly using the Stefan-Boltzmann law to compensate for all the heat losses.

This is an entirely new technology in ceramic plates

Remember: There is only one way to serve food properly and that is : To serve it on a Heat Retentive Plate
(I know you did not even know they existed, I invented them in El Paso, TX)

The plates can be handled safely with the bare hands by the rim
(The rim stays cool)

Serving Food Properly - Also for WLS patients

This is not about etiquette; serving food from the left, removing from the right or vice versa, which is completely irrelevant to me,  or how to adorn the plate and arrange the napkin and the silverware; not even about the serving size. This is about a new serving rule that people will learn just by common sense and practice. What the heck am I talking about? I will give you a few examples:

Expectations change with technology advances

  1. Would you offer your guests warm beer? Everybody expects a cold beer, right? (Because everybody has refrigerators)
  2. What about iced tea without ice? or warm? (Same as above)
  3. Melted Ice cream?(Same)
  4. Cold tortillas? For me that would not be impolite but an insult; (Every home has different means to heat up food; cold tortillas send a strong signal that you are not welcome)
  5. Lukewarm coffee?  (No good)

I think you get the idea; there are certain expectations very well established:
Warm beer? you don't have a refrigerator? or you did not even bother to put the beers in the refrigerator before the party?
Cold tortillas?  No way
Would you serve food -A steak for instance- on a plate that will start getting it cold as soon as it is served?
If you are like most people...You are doing it.

When you are dining at home, do you preheat the plates for yourself and spouse? It is very complicated* or at least it used to be and hot plates are difficult to handle but Now there are HotSmart Plates

*Why complicated? it takes too long, the handling is difficult and preheated normal plates get cold very fast anyway. but now things have changed, see the...

Is there such a thing as a "Gourmet Plate"?

Well.. Now there is; a new type of plates designed for the first time in centuries to enhance the enjoyment of good food -Gourmet food- or simply put: Good cooking and recipes.
Please see the specifications

Other plates just start to get your food cold as soon as it is served on the plate; even if preheated which in turn causes handling problems, the food will be unpalatable after 5 minutes.

If you saw the specs, now you know that HotSmart plates remain still hot after 30 minutes. See:
